 RAMP was created due to an obvious need in the marketplace for small to medium sized business owners who struggle under time constraints, too many daily activities or tasks to perform and cash flow problems. Combined with little marketing knowledge, inadequate systems, low profitability and inadequately trained staff, many small businesses go to the wall within two years of opening their doors.  Over the last two years RAMP has been conducting market research by interviewing small business owners and has discovered 80% have no Business or Marketing Plan; no data base of customers; no training programme for up skilling their staff and many were not on the internet.

Jill Robertson - Director

Jill has 30 years extensive experience in advertising, marketing, promotions, direct sales management, training and development of sales teams, and has owned and operated retail, service and manufacturing businesses.  She brings an enormous amount of knowledge and practical ‘know-how’ to her clients.

Jill has also worked for media giants, David Syme & Co. ‘The Age’, John Fairfax, News Limited, Leader Newspapers, Val Morgan Cinema Advertising and a leading Queensland radio station. She introduced ‘The Good Weekend’ Age Magazine to the Melbourne marketplace, and worked as Victorian State Sales Manager for Fernwood Fitness Clubs.  She also owned one of Queensland’s leading art galleries, ran her own business in Greece and was the first person allowed to run a concession on the Sunshine Coast beaches selling drinks and ice creams on the beach under the name ‘Beach Eats’.  She has also owned a restaurant, café and an industrial lunch run.  In the last few years Jill has been working as a business coach and mentor to small business owners encouraging them to be entrepreneurs in their own business.

Jill believes that, “innovation, structure, planning, practical ‘know how’, persistence and passion is the key to long term business success”, and seeks to work with her clients to encourage them to “think outside the box and work on their business and not so much in their business”.

As a principal of RAMP, Jill is a strong believer in planning for success.  She is results driven and her vitality inspires others to get up and get moving.  Street smart and dynamic in nature, she is committed to making a difference in people’s lives. 

Mark Robertson - Director

Mark has successfully managed major product launches, sales collateral development, and marketing and customer acquisition programs for Secure Parking, GFP Studios, Australian Training Products, Sensis, Penguin Books and Ong Training.

With a background of fifteen years in sales, marketing, training and customer service in many leading companies, he is able to develop market focused sales and marketing solutions. Mark holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from Monash University and a Diploma in Journalism.

Extremely self motivated, highly organised and enthusiastic Mark is passionate about building long term business relationships and loves to empower people to achieve their vision. Used to being thrown in at the deep end with national companies Mark grasps complex concepts and is able to quickly implement effective business solutions.
